Wokingham Local Offer Live (formerly the CAN Day)

22nd September, 11am – 4pm at St Crispin’s Leisure Centre
REACH Wokingham, in partnership with the CAN Network, are once again hosting the Wokingham Local Offer Live Day (formerly the CAN Day). This Family Information & Fun day is open to all families in the Wokingham Borough who have a child or young person aged 0-25 years with a Special Educational Need and/or Disability.

There will be information stalls where local charities and voluntary organisations will be able to share information about events, activities and support they provide, an opportunity to speak to the SEND teams at the council as well as loads of fun activities for the kids.

New Scheme Manager

We are delighted to welcome Emma Roberts as the new Scheme Manager.  Emma has spent the last 30 years working in the Humanitarian Aid Sector both overseas and more latterly in the UK.  Emma has a health and nutrition background and has worked for a number of different organisations in about 60 different countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.  Emma is looking forward to taking on the challenges of leading Home-Start Wokingham.

SENDIASS Wokingham

The Special Educational Needs and Disability Information Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) is a statutory service which is run at ‘arm’s length’ from the Special Educational Needs decision makers and provides free, confidential, impartial advice, guidance and support to:

  • Parents of children and young people up to the age of 25 with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Young people up to the age of 25 with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Parents with initial concerns about their child through to those with and Education, Health and Care Plan or Statement


Transform Housing & Support – Daily Drop-in service

Transform Housing& Support is now providing daily drop in service from our main office at 3 Anvil Court, 48 Denmark Street in Wokingham. In addition to this, we have started weekly drop in surgery sessions in Woodley and Lower Earley. This service is open to all vulnerable adults with housing related issues. Everyone is welcome to drop in, no referrals or appointments needed. We will see people on first come first served basis.

As some clients might have difficulties getting to Wokingham, we are now available every Monday at Ambleside Centre (9.30am to 11.30am) in Woodley and every Tuesday at the Crescent Centre in Lower Earley (10am to 12pm).

Free Yoga For Mums

Every Tuesday at 12.00 – 1.00

Venue – St Paul’s Parish Rooms, Reading Road, Wokingham RG41 1EH

Description – Feeling stressed or depressed? Come along to a friendly and relaxing, drop-in yoga session for mums – babies are welcome too.  Plenty of room for buggies!!

This group is provided FREE by Berkshire Charity Sport In Mind to promote mental well-being.
