We have around 50 family support volunteers provide peer-to-peer, compassionate and confidential support for families when they need us the most. We work with around 100 families a year, helping them build their confidence so they can give their children the life they deserve. Our support is practical, personal and tailored to the needs of every single child that need us. We need your help to ensure our trained volunteers can work with young children and their families in our community.

What is a will?

Your Will is one of the most important documents you will ever create. It is a legal document that ensures that when you die your money and possessions will be distributed as you wish. It gives peace of mind and security, not just for you but for those you love, as well as being an opportunity to support Home-Start.

What is a legacy?

A legacy is a gift of money or property left to someone in a Will. That someone could be a charity like us.

Do I have to have a solicitor to make a Will?

No, but we strongly advise that you do. A solicitor will advise you and make sure that your Will meets all of the requirements of the law. If you don’t know of a local solicitor please get in touch and we will help you find one.

Do I have to tell Home-Start about my gift in my Will?

No, although we would like you to. You can let us know about your gift by emailing admin@home-startwd.org.uk or phoning us on 0118 9888025.
