Do you want to join our amazing team of volunteers – supporting vulnerable parents with young children in Wokingham Borough who are struggling to cope, for a couple of hours a week, in order to:
- offer them emotional and/or practical help with the challenges of parenting;
- get them through a particularly tough time; and
- help them give their children a better start in life?
We are currently in urgent need of more volunteers both to support families with weekly home visiting and also to support the three family groups that we currently run.
We are now preparing our next Volunteer Training Course which will take place on Thursday 3rd MarchThursday 10th March and Thursday 17th March from 09.30 – 14.30 in our office at Shinfield Grange, Cutbush Lane East, Shinfield. RG2 9AS.
We will provide lunch and we will require you to attend all 3 weeks to successfully complete the course. We will be taking all necessary Covid-19 precautions as we prefer to meet you face to face to help us get to know you and for you to get to know each other and us at the start of your time volunteering with us. We will of course continue to monitor the Covid-19 situation and update our plans as necessary with online training as a option if Government requirements dictate.
