We are excited to be expanding our team so that we can double the number of disadvantaged and vulnerable families we can support this year!
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic person to work with our wonderful home-visiting volunteers in supporting families for 12-15 hours a week. This is a fulfilling role in a friendly team, with flexible hours, working from home and in homes all around Wokingham Borough. It is a chance to help improve the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in our community.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience of bringing up children themselves and also has knowledge of the family support/children sectors.
As a key member of the Home-Start Wokingham team you will be responsible for identifying the support needs of referred families, training, matching and supporting volunteers and providing the overall guidance for the relationship between the family and the volunteer. You will also need to link well with other organisations across Wokingham Borough to ensure families receive holistic support. Knowledge of the voluntary sector and safeguarding of children would be welcome but not essential.
DBS (enhanced level) and references will be required.
