Our team

We currently have 4 part-time paid staff that are employed and managed by a Voluntary Trustee Board that includes representatives from local agencies.

A paid manager is responsible for managing the scheme on a day-to-day basis.

Emma Roberts, Scheme Manager

Emma was appointed as Scheme Manager in July 2018. Emma has spent the last 30 years working in the Humanitarian Aid sector both overseas and more latterly in the UK.  Emma has a health and nutrition background and has worked for a number of different organisations in about 60 different countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.  Emma is excited to be taking on the challenges of leading Home-Start Wokingham.

Elaine Strange, Administrator

Elaine is the team administrator and has worked for Home-Start since August 2009.

Elaine’s background was not in the voluntary sector but, as a parent of two sons, she quickly recognized the need for Home-Start and the benefit of friendly, informal support to vulnerable families.

Lindsay Browne, Scheme Co-ordinator

Lindsay has been a Home-Start trustee and volunteer. She has a teenage son and has been heavily involved in voluntary projects as a volunteer and trustee, after taking redundancy from her corporate career.

Mandy Ozficici, Scheme Co-ordinator

Mandy is a mother of three children, 2 boys and a girl. She really enjoyed supporting families as a volunteer for a couple of years before becoming a Scheme Co-ordinator 6 years ago.

 Our volunteers

We have around 50 volunteers supporting our work. We can’t list them all here, but they are a valuable part of our team and we wouldn’t be able to exist without them. Our special thanks go to all of them.
