We are delighted to announce that we have received funding from the National Lottery for our new Tools For Life Project. The project will be supporting parents to prepare their children to enter the learning environment – be that nursery or school. The project will provide individual support one on one in the family home through Home-Start volunteers trained around the “Tools For Life” interventions.
We are delighted to welcome Emma Roberts as the new Scheme Manager. Emma has spent the last 30 years working in the Humanitarian Aid Sector both overseas and more latterly in the UK. Emma has a health and nutrition background and has worked for a number of different organisations in about 60 different countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Emma is looking forward to taking on the challenges of leading Home-Start Wokingham.
We will be running a Volunteer Preparation Course starting in January – dates to be confirmed. For more information please call the office on 0118 988 8025.
